Client Reviews from Hydra

Having read your Hidden Greece Concept I thought you were being very unfair on the poor Greeks. But no, you were spot on!

On arrival in Hydra we were offered mule transport but declined as you had given us excellent directions. We were welcomed by Stelios, the owner, who explained all about the hotel. We had expected something rather basic: how wrong - this is a nice boutique hotel. We were woken by the clip-clopping of donkeys going past our window: looking out we realised it was bin day! We found a super restaurant run by Christina and her daughter - a truly Greek experience, with super salads and fresh fish accompanied by very drinkable wines. We also found a lovely swimming place - don't expect beaches but concrete platforms from which you jump into the gin clear sea. We will definitely go back.
