Our abbreviations and guide prices explained

Basis = board arrangement

  • RO = room only (no breakfast, no kitchen);

  • SCB = self-catering but with breakfast included.
  • Pers. = number of persons sharing the unit of accommodation shown.

Seasons:

  • LS = low season;
  • MS = mid-season (usually Jun & Sep);
  • HS = high season (usually Jul/Aug);
  • PS = peak season (usually August, or a specified shortish period).

Here is an example:

Low 25/3-6/11
Mid 10/6-23/9
High 16/7-26/8
Peak 1-31/8

The seasonal dates are listed under the relevant description of each unit of accommodation in the RH columns of our website. The applicable prices in our Guide Price Tables at the end of each of our five regional sections are those of the highest season within which your chosen dates fall. The columns headed 7 and 14 in the tables show prices for one-week and two-week holidays, including flights to the specified gateway airport, for each person sharing the size, style and category of accommodation chosen; for stays which are not whole weeks the prices are adjusted accordingly. If your holiday spans two seasons we calculate your stay pro rata to the number of nights. Low season dates normally indicate also the opening and closing dates for the property. We stress that prices are re-calculated when you book because flights (in particular) have a nasty habit of changing without notice; this policy also means we can tune the price to the prevailing exchange rate for the Euro.
